            Prayer

Compassionate & Holy God,
we celebrate with joy your coming into our midst;
we celebrate with Hope your coming into our midst;
we celebrate with peace your coming into our midst;
for you have come to save us.
By your grace we recognise your presence
in men & women in all parts of the world…
Through your strength our lives can proclaim joy & hope;
through your love we can work for peace & justice.
You are the source of our being; you are the light of our lives.

(Based on a Latin American prayer)

Our Parish Prayer

God Our Father, give us the grace to go about our tasks in a spirit of eagerness and charity. Grant that we may have the calmness of mind and steadiness of purpose, so that we may do your will in this short life, and obtain happiness in the world to come. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
